And here I do agree with you, and that's sad, because art should be valued for art's sake, not for portraiting something popular that viewers like to see. There is people who just can't get that art is about personal research, not getting compliments for having borrowed someone else's style.
You should be instead encouraged to keep up with your work, as you have your own style and incredible skills. At least, all your artworks show amazing shading and impressive expressiveness. And this is called talent, not just following the trends!
